Driver Loses Control of Car, Slams into On-Coming Vehicle in Eldred Township

ELDRED TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a two-vehicle collision occurred in Eldred Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 4:38 p.m. on February 19, the crash occurred as Timothy L. Caldwell, 51, of Brookville, was traveling south around a right curve in the roadway.

Caldwell lost control of his 2010 Lincoln as Michelle L. McCool, 39, of Sigel was traveling north around the same left curve.

Caldwell’s Lincoln traveled into the oncoming lane of travel and impacted McCool’s 2002 Chevrolet Silverado with its front driver’s side, according to police.

Police say both vehicles came to a rest on the roadway.

McCool was treated for minor injuries at the scene by Jefferson County EMS.

Caldwell was uninjured.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Caldwell was cited with a traffic violation.
