Lou Ann Krouse, 57, of Clarion, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015, at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.

She was born on October 17, 1957 in Strattanville. She was the daughter of Audrey Beers Blake-Renier of Strattanville and the late Robert Blake.

Lou Ann was married on January 3, 2003 to Allan G. Krouse, who survives.

Lou Ann was employed as an assistant manager at Trader Horn in Clarion.

She observed the practice of the Jewish faith.

Lou Ann was very devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed flowers, being outdoors, and the simple things in life.

In addition to her husband, Allan, and her mother, Audrey Renier and her husband, Karl, Lou Ann is survived by two sons, Jason Mahle and his wife, Nicki, of Strattanville, and Josh Mahle and his wife, Amy, of Tylersburg; and two grandchildren, Lilly and Maverick Mahle.

Also surviving are three brothers, Bobby Blake and his wife, Sharla “Short”, Gary Blake and his wife, Tammy, and Terry Blake and his wife, Becky, all of Strattanville; a special aunt and friend, Doris “Dort” Boddorf of Summerville; and her mother-in-law, Shirley Krouse of Pittsburgh; a brother-in-law, Michael Krouse and his wife, Dawn, of Atlanta, GA; a sister-in-law, Elaine Miller and her husband, Todd, of Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Blake, and father-in-law, Isadore Krouse.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015, in the funeral home with Rev. Randy Evans officiating.

Interment will be in the Strattanville Cemetery.
