Nancy L. Watterson, 69, of Vowinckel, died early Monday morning, February 23, 2015 at her home after an extended illness.

Born December 22, 1945 in Brookville, she was the daughter of the late Robert J., Sr. and Dorothea Cochran Fitzgerald.

She married Alvin R. Watterson on July 9, 1969 at Greenwood United Methodist Church and he survives.

Nancy was of the Methodist faith. She was a waitress at several local restaurants. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going on vacation. She also enjoyed bowling and softball.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by 3 sons: Alan Watterson and his fiancée, Annie Clever of Shippenville; Michael Watterson and his wife, Melissa of Tylersburg; and Mark Watterson and his wife, Kelly of Strattanville.

She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Nancy Jean Watterson, Ashley Renee Watterson, Kylie Nichole Watterson, Nevaeh Taylor Watterson, Nissa Taylor Watterson, Alissa Jonelle Watterson, Colbin Jon Watterson and 4 step-grandchildren: Katelyn Nicole Clover, Alyssa Marie Clover, Daniel Michael Edward Clover and Adam Lee Perkins. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James F. Fitzgerald and Robert J. Fitzgerald, Jr.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper.

A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Johnathan Bell, pastor of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Tree Trimmers Rest Cemetery in North Pine Grove.
