OI1460770836_lindalund001Linda L. Lund, 65, of 7 Vo-Tech Dr. Oil City, PA. died at 11:40 P.M. Tuesday Feb. 24, 2015 at UPMC-Northwest in Seneca after an extended illness.

Linda was a very special lady and will be missed by all who knew her. She always put others needs in front of her own.

Born Sept. 7, 1949 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Harold & Betty Leake Lund.

She was a 1967 graduate of Oil City High School and went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh in 1971.

Linda had worked for Bell Telephone and then General Telephone as an operator and later as a service supervisor.

She had worked at the Oil City Library for 12 years and then was employed at City Hall, where she worked for the assistant city manager Janet Gatesman.

Linda enjoyed reading and traveling and had been to Turkey and Budapest several times.

She was a member of the Oil City Free Christian Church.

She had volunteered with the Oil City Art’s Council and had been a member of the Friends of the Library group.

She is survived by her caregiver and constant companion Cliff, A brother Roy Lund of Oil City, a stepdaughter Melanie Arayar & her husband Alpar and their children Eve and Rose and numerous cousins, especially Phyllis Jean Alden.

Private Funeral Services will take place at the convenience of the family.

The Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
