Rollover Crash in Clarion Township, Driver Escapes Injury

CLARION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Clarion-based State Police, a 56-year-old man escaped injury after rolling his vehicle around 8:35 a.m. on March 2, on Interstate 80, in Clarion Township, Clarion County.

Police say the crash occurred around 8:35 a.m. as Aksas Alouani, 56, of Milton, MA, was traveling in the left lane of I-80 West and failed to negotiate a right turn, causing his 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe to leave the roadway.

The Tahoe struck the south ditch and rolled over onto its roof, according to police.

Alouani’s vehicle came to a final rest on its roof approximately 12 feet south of the roadway.

Alouani was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

He was uninjured.

Alouani was cited with a traffic violation.

PSP Clarion were assisted at the scene by Clarion Hospital EMS.
