MONROE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a three-vehicle crash occurred around 7:16 p.m. on March 3, on Interstate 80, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

According to police, Catherine S. Kline, 48, of Knox, was traveling west in a 2013 Dodge Avenger on Interstate 80 in the right lane.

Police say Dominik M. Golubski, 36, of Franklin Park, IL, in a 2002 Volvo 770 truck towing a trailer and Marius M. Alexandru, 53, of Lawrenceville, GA, in a 2015 Volvo D13 truck towing a trailer were traveling west on I-80 in the left lane.

Golubski’s truck jackknifed when the brakes were applied on the ice-covered roadway, then impacted Kline’s Dodge Avenger. Alexandru attempted to avoid striking Golubski’s truck by traveling on the northern shoulder but was unable and impacted it from behind, according to police.

Kline’s vehicle cleared the crash and continued on, police say.

Alexandru’s vehicle traveled a short distance past initial impact and came to rest on the northern shoulder.

All drivers were wearing seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

Both trucks sustained disabling damage.

Assisting the state police at the scene were the Clarion Volunteer Fire Department, PennDOT, Bauer Towing and Truck Service, and Hovis Towing.
