Police say 21-year-old Dillon M. Giesler, of Clintonville, and 47-year-old John M. Beabout, of Rimersburg, were involved in the collision.

According to police, Giesler was traveling east on SR 322 in the eastbound lane, and due to the sun glare, he failed to see traffic stopped in front of him.

He was unable to stop, and the front of his 2002 Toyota impacted with the rear of a 2002 International Harvester tractor-trailer, operated by Beabout, police say.

Shippenville Elk Ambulance transported Giesler to Clarion Hospital for moderate injuries, according to police.

Beaubout was not injured in the accident.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

Shippenville Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
