Emlenton Man Seriously Injured in ATV Accident, Flown to Pittsburgh Hospital

BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — Butler-based State Police say an Emlenton man was seriously injured in an ATV accident that occurred yesterday on Sandy Point Road, 771 feet south of Byron Center Road, in Allegheny Township, Butler County.

Police say this accident occurred around 6:10 p.m. on March 9, as 55-year-old Michael K. Richard, of Emlenton, was traveling north on Sandy Point Road and his Yamaha Grizzly ATV rolled over on him, causing serious injuries to his head, chest, and neck area.

He was flown to Allegheny General Hospital, according to police.

Emlenton EMS assisted at the scene.

Police say the investigation continues.
