Clarice “Daisy” Wheeler

Clarice WheelerClarice “Daisy” Wheeler, 82, of Laurelbrooke Landing in Brookville, formerly of Strattanville, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at the Laurelbrooke Landing where she made her home for the past six years and everyone made her feel at home.

Born on November 4, 1932 in Niles, Ohio; she was the daughter of Clarence and Lucinda Snow Wiles.

Clarice was of the Methodist faith.

She worked for numerous restaurants around the area as a cook and baker.

She was well known for her pies.

She enjoyed puzzles, reading, and crafts.

She also enjoyed playing Bingo, watching television, and had a sweet tooth for chocolate.

She is survived by her four children, Rhonda Berst (Earl) of North Carolina, and Tammy Fingado (Jim Kunselman) of Shippenville, Rodney E. Wheeler (Tonya Wiant) of Grove City, and Roxanne Davis (Rusty) of Strattanville.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Laci Smith, Angie Rearigh, Andrea Rearigh, Laura Weidig, and Jacob Davis; five great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Lois Wiles of Brookville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Ronald E. Wheeler; three brothers, Frank Wiles, Gene Wiles, and Raymond Wiles; two sisters, Marjorie Clowes and Betty Wiles; and her cats, Cole-Cat and Kelly.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015, in the funeral home with Rev. J. Ray Baker officiating.

Interment will be held in the Pisgah Cemetery in Corsica.
