Eddie-Griffin-1426086246[1]Eddie Lee Griffin, 85, of Findlay, OH and formerly of Franklin, PA passed away peacefully at 3:21 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center.

He was born on Aug. 24, 1929 in Olean, NY to the late Park A. and Adaline (Wareham) Griffin.

On July 7, 1956, he married Adeline T. Marando and she survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth (Joseph) Palladino of Bronx, NY and Linda (Daniel) DeArment of Findlay, OH; son, Park (Emily) Griffin of Fairfield, OH; two granddaughters, Christina DeArment of Portland, OR and Danielle DeArment of Columbus, OH; two step-grandsons, Adam and Sam Crawford of Fairfield, OH; a brother, Donald M. Griffin of Harrisville, PA and a sister, Mary Ann (David) Wilcox of Titusville, PA.

Eddie was a 1947 graduate of Franklin High School.

He served in the US Army from 1951-1953, and went on to finish his 20 year military career in the Army Reserves (retiring 1971).

He retired from Joy Manufacturing (Franklin, PA) in 1991 and then joined the family business, Summit Oil Co. (Harrisville, PA) retiring in 2005 at the age of 75.

He was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Franklin and its Knights of Columbus and the Catholic War Veterans. He later joined St. Michael the Archangel Parish in 2012 when he and Adeline moved to Findlay, OH.

He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, as he enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He was also an avid reader. But, his greatest joy was sharing time with his family.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park Street, Franklin, PA 16323.

A vigil service will be held at 4:30 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home with Deacon Richard Reed, officiating.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, March 16, 2015 at St. Patrick Church, 949 Liberty Street, Franklin with Monsignor John J. Herbein, officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.

Military Honors will be rendered by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard at the cemetery.
