Ricahrd-Huff-1426432178[1]Richard C. Huff, 86 of Franklin died unexpectedly at 6:13 A.M. Sunday March 15, 2015 at UMPC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.

Born September 30, 1928 in Titusville, he was a son of the late Carl J. and Dorothy M. Long Huff.

He was a graduate of Kittanning High School and Alliance College in Cambridge Springs.

He worked for 34 years at Joy in the engineering department retiring in 1991.

Richard was a long time member of the Franklin Eagles Club.

He was an avid golfer and bowler and was in the Venango County Bowling Association Hall of Fame.

On March 4, 1950, he married the former Doris J. Dodd and she preceded him in death on February 1, 1992.

Surviving are three sons; Steven A. Huff and his wife Becky of Franklin, Michael A. Huff and his wife Cheryl of Cooperstown, and Jack L. Huff and his wife Donna of Bolingbrook, IL; a brother, Gerald H. Huff of Silver Springs, FL; a sister, Gloria Greenlee of Franklin; a brother in law, Dana Dodd and his wife Sis of Franklin seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Family and friends welcome from 3:00 – 5:00 PM Wednesday at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ed
Gresick, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
