Harry I. “Cal” Myers

Harry I. “Cal” Myers, 89, of Worthville, died on Monday morning, March 16, 2015 at the Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital.

He was the son of the late John and Sarah ( Kiehl ) Myers.

He was married on March 31, 1946 to Betty E. (Shaffer) and she preceded him in death on October 13, 2013.

Cal was a member of the Ringgold United Methodist Church. He worked for the Hanley Brick Company and also R & P Coal Company.

He served his country during WW II with the United States Army.

He is survived by a son, Timothy Myers and his wife Jane of Punxsutawney, a son-in-law, L. Doug Powell of North Freedom, three grandchildren, Erica Mingle and her husband Ed of Punxsutawney, Marci Reitz and her husband Adam of Mayport and Charley Powell of Mayport, eight great grandchildren, and a brother, Johnny Myers and his wife Donna of Baxter.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Roxie Powell and a son Chuck Myers, and eleven brothers and sisters.

Cal’s request was to have no viewing or visitation, a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Interment will be in the Worthville Cemetery.
