MONROE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Clarion-based State Police, a hit and run accident occurred in WalMart parking lot, off Perkins Road, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

Police say 24-year-old Damien D. Finnell, of Pittsburgh, was attempting to park in a parking stall in the WalMart parking lot and the left front fender of his 2012 Dodge Caravan sideswiped the right rear fender of a 1999 Jeep Cherokee which was legally parked and unattended.

After this initial impact, Finnell continued to park and failed to notify the owner of the Jeep Cherokee.

The crash was observed by an unknown female who went into WalMart and reported it to WalMart staff.

According to police, Finnell and three passengers in his vehicle — 39-year-old Joseph C. McIntyre, of Knox; 22-year-old Jacob E. Kremer, of Knox; and 43-year-old Herold Miller, of Mayport — were uninjured in the collision.

Finnell was charged with a traffic violation.

No other information was provided.
