Sabousky PhotoRandall J. Sabousky, of Marble, passed away peacefully at his home on March 16, 2015.

He was 61 years old.

Born on December 23, 1953 in Oil City, he was the son of Robert and Helen (Schultz) Sabousky who preceded him in death.

After graduating from Oil City High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served honorably attaining the rank of Sergeant before being discharged as a disabled veteran. He was a longtime employee of Quaker State in Oil City, and worked at Clarion University as a receiving clerk for 18 years.

On November 14, 1998, he married the former Amy Miles, who survives.

Randy was active in the Pennsylvania Disabled American Veterans Chapter 67, holding offices of Commander of Chapter 67 and Chairperson of Legislative Committee of Pennsylvania Disabled American Veterans. He was active in veterans’ issues having met with Senators and Members of Congress in Washington, DC.

Randy was also a World War II re-enactor for many years and most recently participated in the annual Bridge over Ramagen re-enactment in Tidioute, PA. He was an avid toy collector and enjoyed going to flea markets in search of that rare find.

In addition to his wife, Randy is survived by two brothers, Michael Sabousky and companion Bernice, and Richard Sabousky, both of Oil City, and his nephew, Rob Sabousky of Florida. He will be greatly missed by his faithful dog, Shelby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clarion-Forest Visiting Nurse Association Hospice, 271 Perkins Road, Clarion PA 16214 (www.cfvna.org).

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 19th and from 10-10:45 a.m. on Friday, March 20th.

Full military honors will be accorded by members of Clarion American Legion Post 66 at 10:45 a.m. on Friday to be followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Rev. David Oester, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church of Oil City will officiate.

Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery in Limestone Township, Clarion County.
