TIONESTA, Pa. – Inspired by a story they read in class, first grade students at the Forest Area School District recently created robots and did a little writing of their own.
Mrs. Alex’s class read the story “My Robot” by Eve Bunting.
In the story, a boy was given a robot for his birthday. Cecil, the robot, did many things for the boy, but Cecil was best at being the boy’s friend.
After reading the story, each student created a robot and brought it to school.
Students then named their robots and wrote a narrative story about a day with their robot.
