James H. Webb, age 83 of Kossuth, passed away Thursday morning, March 19, 2015 at his home following an illness.
Born February 19, 1932 in Kossuth, he was a son of the late Walter S. and Mabel H. Johnson Webb.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War.
Jim was a crew leader for Knox Glass, retiring after 36 years with the company and was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church at Fern and the Berlin Bowser American Legion Post #720 of Knox.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, the former Erna M. Schott, who he married in Germany on January 21, 1956; two sons: Donald H. Webb of Kossuth and Gordon J. Webb and his wife, Karen, of Batesville, Mississippi; two grandchildren: Craig R. Webb of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Heidi L. Webb of Batesville, Mississippi.
Jim is also survived by a brother and sister: Raymond Webb and his wife, Jane, of Lamartine and Lois Runninger and her husband, James, of Florida.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Webb; two brothers: Walter Webb and Carl Webb and three sisters; Bernadine Garner, Irene Reed and June Horner.
Honoring Jim’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
A private interment will take place in the Fern Trinity E.C. Cemetery.
