Thaddeus Joseph Wujcik

OI863289908_photoThaddeus Joseph Wujcik, 88, of Oil City, PA. , died Wednesday morning March 18, 2015 at Southwoods in Titusville, PA., after an extended illness.

Born January 20, 1927 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Lawrence & Josephine Kulasza Wujcik.

Ted attended Assumption and Oil City Schools.

A veteran of World War II, he entered the United States Navy on Dec. 28, 1944 and was honorably discharged on May 23, 1946. Ted had received the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal.

He was married on August 18, 1951 in the Assumption B.V.M. Church to Lottie Tenza and she survives.

Mr. Wujcik was a member of Assumption B.V.M. Church.

He worked for over 36 years at Continental Can Co. as a lithograph pressman.

Ted enjoyed woodworking and was an avid bowler at the Pulaski club and at Seneca Lanes, and had managed the bowling alley at the Pulaski for several years.

He was a past president at the Pulaski Club.

Ted loved music and had belonged to several polka bands over the years where he played clarinet and saxophone. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and especially enjoyed playing “You are my sunshine”.

He enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Janice Klahr & her husband Peter of Erie, Daniel Wujcik of Fairview, TN, Patricia & Harry Couts of Venus, Christine & Stephen Narusewicz of Erie, Karen & Kevin Lorey of Titusville, and Theresa & Thomas Jones of Pittsburgh; 11 grandchildren Andrew Klahr, Kristy Bergstrom, Kari Wujcik, Michael & Andrea Couts, Bryan & Jamie Couts
Zachary & Jodie Narusewicz, Sara Narusewicz, Stefanie & Caleb Swartz, Ashley Lorey & her friend Keith Hamilton, Jacqueline Stremple & her husband William, and Derek Jones; three great grandchildren
Claire & Benjamin Couts and Hannah Swartz; one brother Richard Wujcik of Oil City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by three brothers Walter, Charles and Joseph Wujcik; three sisters Helen Gates, Ann Kolobitz and Mary Haje; and a special uncle Anthony ” Stryja” Wujcik.

Friends will be received from 12:30p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. in the Assumption B.V.M. Church with Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor,Presiding. Military Honors will be accorded with the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard
Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Assumption B.VM. Church, Hospice of Crawford County or to a charity of ones choice
