Sandra Gail Braun of Shippenville went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2015 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca at the age of 71.
Born on November 7, 1943 in Freeburn, Pike County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William Jackson and Shirley Marie (York) Prater. Gail was a dedicated homemaker, mother, and Grammy who enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a member of the Alpha Assembly of God in Clarion and also attended Riverhill Evangelical Church.
Gail is survived by her two sons, Eric A. Braun, Jr. and his wife Patti of Shippenville, and Christopher S. Braun and his wife Wendy also of Shippenville; four grandchildren, Andrea Bennetti, Eric Braun III, Christopher Braun II, and Joshua Braun; a brother, David Prater of VA; and five sisters, Delores Kniper of VA, Karen Graham of FL, Shela Williams of VA, Connie Whitaker of FL, and Heather Pritcher of VA. She will also be greatly missed by her good friend Candra Daugherty.
In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Prater and two sisters, Shirley E. Prater and Betty Delaney.

In keeping with Gail’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or viewing. A celebration of Gail’s life will be held at the Alpha Assembly of God during the Memorial Day weekend.
