TOBY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 9:15 a.m. on March 20, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Dunlap Hill Road, at its intersection with Bela Road, Toby Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 67-year-old Mary M. Fair, of Parker, was traveling northbound on Dunlap Hill Road and lost control of her 2007 Chevrolet 1500 on the snow-covered roadway.

Her vehicle slid towards Bela Road and went off the roadway, hitting the grounding cables with the 12 o’clock position causing it to overturn on its roof, police say.

A passenger in the vehicle — 70-year-old Mary M. Smith, of Parker — got out of the vehicle through the passenger window, according to police.

Fair was stuck upside down with her seat belt still on, police say.

Rimersburg Volunteer Fire Department and Southern Clarion County EMS extricated Fair by mechanical means.

She suffered moderate injuries from the crash and was transported to Clarion Hospital.

Smith was not injured.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Pollock’s Towing.

Fair was charged with a traffic violation.

Sligo Volunteer Fire Department also assisted PSP Clarion at the scene.
