Norman-Fox-1427725163Norman C. Fox, 63, of 11 Petroleum Center Road, Oil City, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Born October 17, 1951 in Oil City, he was a son of the late Paul (Eakus) and Ardith Russell Fox.

He attended Rouseville Elementary school and graduated from Oil City High School in 1969.

Norm was a member of the Oil City Eagles Club and called bingo. He also was a member of the Oil City Men’s Pool League.

He was an avid deer hunter, golfer and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Norm enjoyed wood working, had done many remodeling projects and was a great handyman who could fix almost anything.

He also enjoyed camping at Tionesta with his wife and children.

Norm was a great cook who was always having dinners for his family as his family was his life and he always wanted to do whatever he could to make them happy.

He was married in St. Venantius Church on December 17, 1977, to the former Patricia York, who survives. They had a wonderful marriage together and did everything together.

In addition to his wife, surviving are 4 children, Barry Fox of Plumer, Heather Fox-Hovis and husband Bill of Carlton, Nathan Fox and wife Andrea of Oil City, and Shannon Kluck and husband Bill of Tionesta; 7 grandchildren, Michael A. James, Madison A. James, Brandi Hovis, Dustin Hovis, Tyler A. Dickinson, Christian Kluck and Anna Kluck; and 2 great grandchildren, Camden and Kael Armstrong.

Also surviving are 3 brothers, Paul Fox, Darrel Fox and Dennis Fox; 2 sisters, Edith Fox and Connie Fox; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm Wednesday in St. Venantius Church with the Rev Matthew Ruyechan, presiding.

Interment will be in Heckathorn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
