OI2091505205_wilkinsontomThomas R. Wilkinson, 64, Of Oil City passed away on Sunday March 29, 2015 at Forbes Hospice in Pittsburgh, PA, after a long illness.

Tom was born in Oil City, Pa. on May 11, 1950, and while on this earth, he circled the sun for almost 65 years.

He was the son of the late William J. and Agnes A. (Grolemund) Wilkinson, brother of John (Virginia)Wilkinson of Newhaven, CT., Wilma Stubbs of Long Island, NY., Bill (Carol)Wilkinson of Oil City, Kathy Hollabaugh of Meadville, PA. Janice (Rick) Weaver of Bridgeville, and Phil (Sheila)Wilkinson of Oil City, and was uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A steelworker in Oil City for 10 years, he graduated from Penn State at Behrend, and was an electrical worker at GE in Erie. Tom was a Bodhran drum player, a member of The Celtic Hooligans, and loved his time at the annual Great Blue Heron Music Festival. He attended Woodstock, other interests included camping, photography and social networking on his computer.

There will be no visitation and per his request, Mr. Wilkinson was cremated. Tom’s family will have a celebration of his life at a later date.
