RIMERSBURG, Pa. (EYT) – “My eyes are on the prize.” said Dustin ‘Crowbar’ Kifer in a exclusive interview with exploreRimersburg.com today. “I plan to achieve my lifelong goal of becoming Mayor of Rimersburg.”
The candidate said the businesses, community groups, elected officials, and Chris Rossetti are not operating in a cohesive fashion. He says he can build bridges with millions of Rimersburg residents and plans to use the next few months of his campaign talking to those people and building a platform.
“The priority is to build bridges among everyone, except people who live in Sligo. There is a lot of work to be done, and I need to hear from everyone, including Chris Rossetti of D9Sports.com. Over the next few months, I am going to go on a listening tour,” Kifer said. “I also plan to go to the Taylor Swift concert on July 6 in Pittsburgh.”
Kifer said he hopes to bring a casino to Rimersburg within the next five weeks.
“Right now, there is an absence of leadership,” he said. “That is why it is the best choice for all residents of the borough to support my plan for secession from Clarion County.”
Kifer claims that his mayoral platform depends greatly on the borough’s willingness to secede.
“We will thrive as an independent entity. The county is only holding us back from true greatness,” Kifer states. “Rimersburg could have its very own Taylor Swift concert.”
We talked with Kifer’s campaign manager Chris Rossetti, of D9Sports.com, regarding Kifer’s announcement.
“He is a great man, and he is going to make a great mayor. I have no doubt,” Rossetti said. “He is what Rimersburg (and D9sports.com) are all about.”
Kifer says he is confident he will win, not just because of the early support he has been shown, but also his love of cookies.
“I am a real alternative. You have a real choice now. I have a very different style. I have a very different set of procedures with how I manage people. For Rimersburg, I am offering a real choice and real alternative to the current administration,” Kifer said.
When asked how he plans to handle any opposition to his platform, Kifer responded, “I’m simply going to shake it off when people start a dirty campaign against me. A wise woman once told me that players gonna play, haters gonna hate, heart-breakers gonna break, and fakers gonna fake, but I just have to shake, shake, shake it off.”
“I have a blank space in my heart, and I will write your name there, Rimersburg.”
“I really came to the conclusion that it is now or never. It is now or never for me. It is now or never for secession. We really need to get busy, and I decided this was going to be the right time to take this leap, since I will be busy with Taylor Swift concerts later this year.”
“Let’s get back to basics and take care of the things that are the responsibility of government, and then we can do big vision, big picture, big cookies.”
Kifer also announced plans to bring in President Barrack Obama for the 2015 Cookie Daze celebration.
