Mary Louise Etzel Webb Morris

Mary Louise Etzel Webb Morris, age 77, of Knox and formerly of Anderson, Indiana and Clarion, went to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning, April 7, 2015 at the Clarion Hospital, after an extended illness.

Born November 11, 1937 in Shippenville, she was a daughter of the late Berlie Etzel, Sr. and Anna Wagner Etzel.

Mary graduated from Keystone High School in 1955. She married Ralph Walter Webb and the couple moved to Anderson, Indiana, where they worked and raised their family. He preceded her in death in 1984.

She lived most of her life in Anderson, Indiana and was currently living in Knox with her granddaughter.

Mary was a career woman most of her life until her retirement in 1990. She worked at Container Corporation for 15 years as a secretary and then retired from Guide Division of General Motors after 18 years of service.

She loved to travel and spent many summers on trips with her daughter, Cindy and her granddaughter, Erica. She also flew to Houston on a yearly basis to visit her son, Greg and grandson, Jason. She loved her children and grandchildren. For over 30 years she also spent summer vacations at her camp in Shippenville, Pennsylvania.

Mary loved to crochet and often made beautiful table cloths and blankets as gifts. Many of her crocheted pieces are still being used today by family members.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Lee Webb Conner and her husband, Ronnie, of Shippenville; a son, Gregory Allen Webb and his wife, Cheryl, of Conroe, Texas; a grandson, Jason Allen Webb and his wife, Christina, of Calvert, Texas; a granddaughter, Erica Nicole Conner of Knox and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Ann Webb of Calvert, Texas.

Mary is also survived by five sisters: Katherine Nuhfer and husband, Wayne, of Townville; Esther Staab and husband, John (Tiny), of Cranberry; Joanne Bell and husband, William, of Shippenville; Betty Curtis of Ludington, Michigan and Juanita Kaber and husband, Dale, of Shippenville; one brother, Thomas Etzel and wife, Georgia, of Lynchburg, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Rochelle Etzel of Shippenville; numerous nieces, nephew and cousins and several very close life-long friends in Anderson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Berlie Etzel, Jr. and Thelma Steele.

Family and friends will be received from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Avenue, Knox.

Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Dale Kaber will officiate over the service.

Interment will take place in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Shippenville.
