besscook-smallBess Hamilton Cook died at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland, Ohio on April 6, 2015 after a long illness.

Bess was the eldest of three children, born July 16, 1932 in Chicago Illinois, to Charles Neff and Helen Hamilton Hough of Franklin, PA. She attended Franklin High School in Franklin, PA and attended boarding school in Kansas.

Bess went to Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa where she met her husband Raymond Eugene Cook of Cortland OH.

They were married on March 3, 1951 in New York City, NY and lived in Franklin until moving to Warren OH.

Bess was a housewife and raised 6 children. She worked at Packard Electric until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of St Pius X Church where she and her husband were involved in church and community activities.

Later she joined Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren, OH. She loved spending time in Florida with family and searching for seashells.

Survivors include sons Charles H. (Christina) and William D. (Nancy) Cook of Warren and a daughter Helen H. (Andrew) Wells of England, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A brother Charles N. (Bonnie) Hough of Albany, GA and a sister Kathrin C. (Richard) Reib of Franklin, PA.

Bess is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond E. Cook and sons Michael R. , and C. Patric of Warren and Scott F. Cook of Grand Blanc , MI and two grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at Blessed Sacrament, 3020 Reeves Road, Warren at 10 Saturday, where the family will receive friends one hour prior.

Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Ashtabula.
