MONROE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 4:53 p.m. on April 9, a one-car accident occurred on State Route 68, at its intersection with Stoney Lonesome Road, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 19-year-old Kylene D. Callander, of Parker, was traveling south on SR 68, and her 1998 Acura 3.0 CL went off the roadway traveling sideways. The car struck the bank with its driver’s side, causing it to go airborne.

While airborne, the car struck a road sign and the guide wire connected to a utility pole. The car then hit the ground with its front end, flipped, and struck the ground with the passenger’s side roof, causing it to flip a second time, police say.

The car then landed on its wheels and traveled in a northern direction approximately two car lengths where it came to a final rest on top of a sapling tree, according to police.

Callander then got out of the car through the driver’s side window, police say.

Southern Clarion County Ambulance arrived to check Callander, and no injuries were reported.

The car was towed by Mark’s Auto.
