Alice M. Cochran

Alice M. Cochran, 79, formerly of Gibbs Hill Road near Ludlow, died Monday morning, April 13, 2015 at the Rouse Home in Youngsville.

Born September 11, 1935 in Kane, she was the daughter of Morris and Sarah Messler Overbeck. On June 7, 1958 in Sheffield, she married DeWayne E. Cochran, who died in 2005.

Alice had worked as an Licensed Practical Nurse for Dr. Ibanez in Kane and the Kane Community Hospital.

Surviving are a sister, Shirley Fiero in Texas and two brothers, Morris Overbeck of Madison, Ala. and Harry Overbeck of Kane. Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by brothers Leroy “Skip” Overbeck and William Overbeck, and sisters Beatrice Bathurst and Betty Uplinger.

Friends may attend a graveside service at 11:00 on Friday at Gibbs Hill Cemetery near Ludlow with the rev. Bob Lynch officiating.
