PSP Marienville Dispatched to SCI-Forest for Report of Drug Incident

According to a criminal complaint, on April 12, 2015, around 1:08 p.m., Officer Nicewonger, of PSP Marienville, was dispatched to SCI Forest for a report of an individual who was allegedly found attempting to provide drugs to a prison inmate.

The complaint states that upon Officer Nicewonger’s arrival at the scene, he spoke to Corrections Officer Copchick, who informed him that a female individual was allegedly found to have concealed contraband and attempted to pass it to an inmate. Officer Nicewonger then spoke to the defendant who identified herself as Ciera Langford.

Langford Allegedly Admits to Concealing Drugs

Langford was read the Miranda Rights at 1:24 p.m., the complaint indicates.

Langford allegedly informed Officer Nicewonger that her friend (an inmate at the prison) requested approximately one week ago that she bring weed and Zanax into the prison and give it to him, the complaint continues.

She further allegedly advised that she brought the drugs into the prison by placing them inside the finger portion of a latex glove and that once the drugs were in the glove, she placed them in her private area, according to the complaint.

She advised that once she went inside the prison, she removed the latex gloves and attempted to pass them to her friend by placing them in a potato chip bag in the visitors’ room inside the prison, the complaint states.

A sample from inside the latex glove type packaging was opened and the suspected Marijuana inside was NIK tested. The NIK test confirmed the substance was Marijuana, the complaint indicates.

Langford Charged, Jailed, Awaiting Preliminary Hearing

Based on the information received during the interviews, Langford was arraigned on April 12 on the drug charges previously listed.

Unable to post $75,000.00 monetary bail, she was placed in the Warren County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on April 21, in front of Magisterial District Judge Daniel L. Miller.
