Joanne E. Millard

Joanne E. Millard, 84, of Harvey Road, Pleasantville, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2015 at the Titusville Area Hospital.

Miss Millard was born in Pleasantville on September 14, 1931 to the late Carl E. and Edith Stokes Millard, Sr.

She graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1949 and went on to earn her Masters of Education at Clarion University.

Miss Millard worked for the Warren School District and then retired in 1983 from the Superior School in East Cleveland. After her retirement she enjoyed working with her niece Cindy at CJ Fashion’s and Queen City Clothing in Titusville.

She was a member of the Pleasantville Lioness and Pleasantville Alumni Association.

Miss Millard’s greatest joy was spending quality time with her great nephew, Matthew Hamilton; attending all of his school functions and sporting events. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, gardening, feeding the deer and birds at her home in Pleasantville, and traveling. She was very proud to have traveled to every state in the United States of America and toured with Colonial Tours as much as she could. She was a propionate of education and cultural experiences.

Miss Millard is survived by two sisters, Lois Delinski of Erie and Alice Tarr and husband Donald of Titusville; sixteen nieces and nephews; and twenty-nine great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Carl E. Millard, Jr.; a niece, Linda Delinski; and a nephew, Ronald Tarr.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington Street, Titusville, PA 16354 on Sunday from 3 to 7 PM and the funeral service there Monday at 11 AM with Pastor Lee Baker officiating.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Pleasantville.
