According to a criminal complaint, Trooper Wilson of Clarion PSP was dispatched on April 23 to the scene of a hit-and-run crash near State Route 208 in the area of the Shippen Inn.

A driver — later identified as Walker — had allegedly driven off the roadway, hit a guide rail, and driven through a yard before fleeing the scene.

While en route to the crash near the Shippen Inn, Trooper Wilson was advised of another hit-and-run crash that had occurred one mile north of Shippenville on State Route 208.

According to the criminal complaint, the driver allegedly crashed a 2004 Hyndai Tiburon into an embankment and fled the scene.

The vehicle was identified as Walker’s and Walker was later located by PSP Marienville. Walker was transported by police back to the scene of the second crash.

During the course of the investigation it was determined that two family members had allegedly attempted to take the keys from the ignition of Walker’s vehicle to keep him from driving any further.

According to one of the victims, Walker allegedly began to leave as she and a male victim were attempting to take the keys. The two pedestrians were drug by the door of Walker’s vehicle as he was leaving.

After dragging the two pedestrians, Walker’s vehicle allegedly struck an embankment and became disabled.

According to the criminal complaint, Walker then allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle belonging to the female pedestrian.

While interviewing Walker, Trooper Wilson allegedly detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from Walker’s breath and person.

Walker was housed in the Clarion County Jail April 24 following a preliminary arraignment before District Judge Amy Long Turk.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 5 at 1:00 p.m.
