Kriebel PhotoRobert Glenn Kriebel, of Clarion, expired on April 30, 2015, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, only to move on to his eternal fishing trip. He was 64 years of age.

Born on September 6, 1950, in Butler, he was the son of the late William and Helen (Morris) Kriebel. He graduated from Union High School in Rimersburg, in 1968. He was the drafted into the United States Army and served honorably during the Viet Nam era. He attended trade school for computer sciences.

On October 29, 1983, he married the former Vanessa Slike, who survives.

Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved going to Kahle Lake, pushing the limits of his kreel basket and seeing how many he could pull in on one day. He enjoyed his flowers, Rabi (Bob) and he enjoyed teasing his fishing buddies at the river. He was a member of the Sligo Sportsmen’s Club.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Jo Confer, and her husband Jim, of Rimersburg; his grandson, Casey Confer, also of Rimersburg; his three brothers; Ken Kriebel (Jody) of Sligo, Barry Kriebel (Jackie Scott) of Sligo, and Tim Kriebel (Lori Shakley) of Sligo; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Monday, May 4th. Military Honors will be accorded at 3:45 p.m. on Monday by the Honor Guard of American Legion Post 66 of Clarion. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, with Father Monty Sayers presiding.
