Fairmount City Man Charged with DUI Following Traffic Stop on Route 66

REDBANK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Clarion-based State Police, a Fairmount City man has been accused of DUI while traveling on a ATV on State Route 66, in Redbank Township, Clarion County.

Police say around 9:45 p.m. on April 25, 52-year-old Preston Allen Cypher, of Fairmount City, was observed operating an all terrain vehicle on SR 66.

A traffic stop was conducted, and he was taken into custody on the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

According to court documents, Cypher was charged with the following offenses:

  • DUI: General Impairment/Incompetent of Driving Safely — 1st Offense, Misdemeanor
  • DUI: Highest Rate of Alcohol (BAC .16+) 1st Offense, Misdemeanor
  • Driving Unregistered Vehicle, Summary
  • Signal Improper, Summary
  • Careless Driving, Summary

A preliminary arraignment is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on May 20 in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller.
