George Lee McDonald, 63 of Hoffman Avenue, Oil City, died in his home on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
Born February 23, 1952 in Pine City, he was a son of the late Alfred and Josephine Lenhart McDonald.
Mr. McDonald attended Cranberry High School.
He was self-employed as a roofer/handyman.
Mr. McDonald enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife and children.
He was a member of Bethel Methodist Church in Siverly.
On June 14, 1980, he married the former Vicky O’Neil, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Mike McDonald and companion Heather, Kevin and fiancé Lorilee and George McDonald and wife Sharon, all of Oil City; 1 daughter Kathy Jo McDonald Craig and husband Richard of Oil City; 7 grandchildren and was expecting another grandson, Jessie James McDonald, in June.
Also surviving are 3 brothers, Alfred McDonald, Arnold McDonald and Bob McDonald, all of Oil City; 4 sisters Betty Beddard of Washington, NC, Carolyn Richey of Reno, Helen Chapel of Oil City, and Joann Chapel of Orange County, CA; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John McDonald and Edward McDonald and 2 sisters, Mary L. Sharpe and Dorothy Fross.
Family and friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Thursday from 1 to 3 pm.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 3:00 pm Thursday with the Rev. Bruce Davis, officiating.
Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting contributions to help cover funeral expenses.
