Man Charged with Assault, Terroristic Threats in Howe Township; Released on $5k Bail

HOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say around 2:30 a.m. on May 3, an assault occurred at a camp along Blue Jay Road, in Howe Township, Forest County.

According to police, a 41-year-old Pittsburgh man and a 33-year-old Pittsburgh woman engaged in a physical altercation at the above described location.

As a result of the altercation, the 33-year-old woman suffered minor injuries in the form of bruising on various locations on her body, police say.

The 41-year-old man was taken into custody and charged with Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats, and Harassment, according to police.

Following a preliminary hearing, he was released from jail after posting $5,000.00 bail, police say.

The name of the suspect was not released.
