Thumbnail[1]Cornelia Gloria Stewart, 73, of Greensburg, (formerly of Franklin) passed away on Friday, May 8th at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born January 5, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Cornelia was the daughter of the late John and Lila C. Davis. She was a homemaker and loved to cook. Cornelia formerly attended St. John’s Episcopal Church in Franklin. She was a very artistic individual and enjoyed music, dancing and crafts, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler’s football fan. She cherished the times she spent with her grandchildren.

Cornelia is survived by her 3 children, Cornell L. Stewart and his fiancee’, Chasity Satterlee, of Beaver, Derek D. Stewart and his wife, Sonja A., of Franklin, and Tina J. Henry of Meadville.

She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Wesley A. Massey, Jr., Alicia M. Taylor, Micheal A. Massey, Marissa J. Stewart, D. Damon Stewart, Jr., Elijah J. Stewart, and Jonah X. Stewart; and her 2 great-grandchildren, Isabella J. Taylor and Savannah R. Taylor.

Cornelia is additionally survived by her sister, Anita A. Austin of Farrell; and her nephew, Joseph Kim Austin of Conneaut Lake. She was previously married to Dr. Joseph F. Stewart of Burlington, NJ, who also survives.

Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Tuesday, May 12th from 5 to 6 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home, following visitation, with the Rev. Richard C. Rowe, priest of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Franklin, officiating.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
