Ruby I. Wiant, 75, of Fairmount City, died on Monday afternoon, May 11, 2015 at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

Born on December 1, 1939 in Fairmount City, she was the daughter of the late Dwight and Twila (Neiswonger) Reichard. On April 29, 1960, she married D. Bruce Wiant and they just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

Ruby was a homemaker and a member of the Nevin Memorial United Church of Christ in Frogtown.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Wiant of Fairmount City, three children, Danny A. Wiant and his wife Roberta of Timblin, Genny Early and her husband Paul of East Brady and Vernon N. Wiant and his wife Jennifer of Brookville, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and three sisters, Helena Mestelliano of Reedsville, Louella Johnston of Lafayette, Indiana and Brenda Barrett and her husband Pete of Fairmount City.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn with Pastor Sam Swick officiating. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery in Frogtown.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nevin Memorial United Church of Christ at 8642 Olean Trail, Fairmount City, Pa. 16224.
