HARMONY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Marienville-based State Police, a fire of undetermined origin occurred at 185 Crestmont Road, in Harmony Township, Forest County.

Police say the fire occurred around 1:26 a.m. on May 16, 2015.

According to police, there were eight adults and 10 children within the camp when the fire was discovered by camp owner Cara Tomallo.

Tomallo alerted all other camp occupants, and all made it out safely, police say.

Robert Tomallo said “when he was awakened by his wife, he saw and smelled smoke, and he could see fire,” according to police.

Smoke detectors were present and working which may have awakened Cara, police say.

The roof and the entire first floor was already completely consumed when the fire department arrived, finding the entire structure engulfed in flames, according to police.

The cause and origin are under investigation at this time, police say.

Anyone with information about this fire is asked to contact PSP Marienville at 814-927-5253.
