55591d9e0c1fe[1]Ronald D. Kinnear, age 71, of West Hickory, PA, died on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at his home in West Hickory.

He was born September 18, 1943 in West Hickory, son of the late Artimus B. and Helen (Neely) Kinnear.

Ron was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving his country during Vietnam.

He was a 49 year member of the American Legion in Youngsville, PA, and a member of the VFW in Tidioute, PA. He was a member of Olive Temple Lodge #557 Free and Accepted Masons of Tionesta, a life member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite in the Valley of Oil City, and a life member of the Council Chapter Consistory Scottish Rite in the Valley of Coudersport.

Ron was also a member of the Titusville Lodge of the BPOE Elks. He was an avid golfer.

Ron and his brother Robert L. were co-owners of the Kellettville Tavern in Kellettville, PA, Kinnear Sanitation, and the Hunter Station Golf Course Club House.

He was also a member of the Robert L. Kinnear Scholarship Fund committee.

Surviving are two sisters, Dolores A. McWilliams of Columbia Station, Ohio, and Cynthia G. Kinnear of Tionesta. Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Robert L. Kinnear who died in 1982.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 3-7 at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Randy L. Evans, Clarion/Forest VNA Hospice Chaplin, officiating.

Burial at Neilltown Cemetery, Pleasantville, PA.

Masonic Services will be held Thursday evening at the funeral home at 6:30PM.
