ELK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a one-vehicle crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. May 15 on Soap Fat Road in Elk Township, Clarion County.

According to police, the crash occurred as 28-year-old Jonathan K. Mong, of Shippenville, was traveling north on Soap Fat Road.

Police say Mong’s 1999 Toyota Takoma left the roadway and the undercarriage of the vehicle entered a ditch causing it to flip on to its roof.

Mong then allegedly fled the scene of the crash, according to police.

Police say Mong was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and suffered moderate injuries.

Mong was cited with a traffic violation.
