Geraldine “Geri” E. Ritchey Jolly, 85, of Pleasantville, passed away at 3:45 p.m. at Sugarcreek Station on Wednesday, May 20th.

Born July 15, 1929 in Franklin, Geri was the daughter of the late Harry and Zelda Morrison Ohler. She was married to Edward Jolly, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, crocheting and reading. Geri also enjoyed gardening and eating strawberries and green onions. She loved taking care of her pet dogs — Buddy, Foxy, and Timmy.

Geri is survived by her 3 sons, Harry Ritchey and his wife, Kathy of Clintonville, Domer Ritchey and his wife, Becky, of Emlenton, and Lewis Ritchey and his wife, Patty, of Franklin; and her 2 daughters, Judy Woods and her husband, Steve, of Venus, and Jane McWilliams and her fiance, Frank, of Titusville.

She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Jodi Woods, Robert Ritchey, Jeremy Ritchey, Julie Grodecki and her husband, Michael, and Kattie Wilson and her fiance, James Brinkley; and her great-grandson, Ryan Grodecki.

Geri is additionally survived by her 3 step-children; her 6 step-grandchildren; and several step-great-granchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold “Pete” Ritchey; her granddaughter, Jennifer Ritchey; and her step-daughter, Nancy Jolly.

Family and friends of Geri will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Tuesday, May 26th from 10 to 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11 a.m. following visitation, with Rev. Joshua Peck, pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Venus, officiating. Interment will be in Millcreek Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
