Kristy Nicole Young, 26, of Strattanville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 24, 2015 in Clarion.

She was born September 7, 1988 in Clarion; she was the daughter of John P. Young of Strattanville and Deborah D. Snyder of Knox.

Kristy was a 2006 graduate of East Forest High School and a 2010 graduate of Clarion University with a degree in Arts and Sciences, Majoring in Spanish. Kristy was employed by several local establishments in customer service.

She was of the Presbyterian Faith and a member of the Clarion Moose #101

She will be so very deeply missed by her family and friends. Kristy will be remembered fondly by all, her beautiful smile and cheerful personality. Kristy enjoyed Kayaking, exercising, and was very health conscious. Her dog, Lark, held a special place in her heart as well as her cat, Biter.

Kristy is survived by her father John P. Young and Linda Amsler of Strattanville; her mother Deborah D. Snyder and Jesse Smith of Knox; two sisters; Alicia Fox and husband Kevin of Concord, NC and Karley Young and her friend Anthony of Erie; two brothers, Michael Staley and Tyler Amsler both of Strattanville; one niece, Alyssa Fox, and one nephew Cayden Fox of Concord, NC; her paternal grandmother, Prudence Young of Corsica; her maternal grandmother, Betty Greenawalt of Fort Pierce, FL.; She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, William Young and her maternal grandfather, Ronald Greenawalt.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday May 27, 2015 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday May 28, 2015, in the funeral home with the Rev. James Dietrich pastor of Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Corsica presiding.
