Harriet Lauretta Beals died on Memorial Day. May 25, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Marianne (Shippenville RD) at the age of 94 after a period of declining health.

She was born March 8, 1921 in Knox Pa., the daughter of Harry O. Beals and Lauretta A Zerbe Beals.

She graduated in 1939 from White Memorial School in Knox.

After getting a diploma from Franklin Commercial College she became an executive secretary at Knox Glass where she worked for 40 years.

She is survived by her niece Jacqueline Deitz and her husband Jack and Jackie’s children and grandchildren, a brother in law and his wife and their children, and a special friend Mrs. Fred McIlhattan.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and a infant brother.

There will be no viewing and she will be cremated according to her wishes.

She will be buried in Knox Union Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the McEntire Weaver Funeral home in Knox.
