BARNETT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a 32-year-old man has been accused of DUI following a near collision with a patrol unit on State Route 36, near Iron Bridge Road, in Barnett Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 1:46 a.m. on May 24, 32-year-old Cassie A. Buzzard, of Yatesboro, Pa., was stopped for erratic driving after his vehicle entered the lane of a marked PSP patrol unit, traveling in the opposite direction.

Police say after “barely avoiding a head on collision, Buzzard was stopped and found to be DUI.”

While being taken into custody, Buzzard was searched and allegedly found to be in possession of a plastic baggy containing marijuana, according to police.

A criminal complaint will be filed against Buzzard in District Court 54-3-03 charging him with DUI, drug possession, and applicable traffic violations.
