Third Grades Students Graduate from D.A.R.E. Program

CLARION, Pa. — Third grade students from Immaculate Conception School graduated from the D.A.R.E program on Thursday, May 21.

The D.A.R.E. program is a 9 week program which teaches the students 4 components as follows:

  • D. Define- describe the problem, challenge or opportunity.
  • A. Assess — What are the choices?
  • R. Respond- Make a choice-use the facts and information you have gathered.
  • E. evaluate- Review your decision.

“Officer Kemmer was an excellent teacher, and the children loved his lessons and visits! They can’t wait until they are in 5th grade for part two of D.A.R.E.,” says third grade teacher Ms. Babington.
