N. Dawn Burford, 79, of Oak Ridge, died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital.

Born April 4, 1936 in Lawsonham, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Olive (Minnick) Painter.

She married Malcolm D. “Mack” Burford on July 9, 1956 and he preceded her in death on September 4, 2014.

She work at Owens Illinois in Clarion and Archway Cookie in Rimersburg.

She attended the First Church of God in New Bethlehem. She loved Jesus Christ, her family, her church family, and her dog “Chico”.

She is survived by five sons, Greg Painter and his wife Sara of High Point, North Carolina, Randy Burford, Rick Burford and his wife Tammy, and Rod Burford, all of Oak Ridge, Rob Burford and his wife Bonnie of Connellsville, and one daughter, Shari Reed of New Bethlehem, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Richard Painter and his wife Annie of High Point, North Carolina and Gary Painter and his wife Terri of Aliquippa.

In addition to both her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Frederick Lee Painter.

Dawns’s request was to be cremated. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Interment will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
