Three Escape Injury in I-80 Crash

PAINT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police report that a two vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 80 in Paint Township, Clarion County.

According to police, the incident took place at 6:19 a.m. on June 5, 2015.

Police say 18-year-old Kimberly A. Gardner, of New Castle, was traveling east on I-80 at mile marker 60.1, which was a construction zone at the time.

Gardner’s 2005 Chevrolet Malibu crossed the median and struck a 2015 Dodge 5500 driven by 57-year-old Todd A Friedl, of Ridgway.

Police say there was one passenger in Friedl’s vehicle: 20-year-old Chandler H. Christian, also of Ridgway.

Police did not report any injuries in the crash and all parties were wearing seat belts.

Gardner was charged with violating several sections of the PA Vehicle Code through District Court 18-3-02.
