Anne Wolfkiel Hutchison

Anne-Hutchison-1433774772[1]Anne Wolfkiel Hutchison died at 6:10 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2014 at Sugarcreek Station following a period of declining health.

A daughter of Oscar L. and Ruth Miller Dresch, she was born in Grove City on August 12, 1920. She attended school in Clintonville and Franklin.

She and Clark Wolfkiel were married on November 21, 1935. He died January 4, 1988. On September 19, 1990 she married Robert Hutchison who survives.

During World War II Anne became involved with the American Red Cross as a volunteer and was devoted to that work for 25 years. She retired as executive director of the Franklin Venango Chapter in 1983. She also volunteered for the Civic League, Eagles Auxiliary, the Venango County Association for the Blind, and the Well Baby Clinic.

Mrs. Hutchison was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and had served as president of the Diocesan Women’s Auxiliary. She spearheaded a fundraiser to purchase a Jeep for Bishop Sadiq in India. She had also served as secretary of the ECW for the province of Washington and the District of Columbia.

Surviving along with her husband are a daughter Daneen Coakley of Singers Glen, VA, 3 grandchildren Eric (Barbara) Coakley and Mary Ann (Roger) Weingard all of Singers Glen, VA and Christopher (Natalie) Coakley of Chesapeake, VA, 2 step-daughters Bobbie (Ray) Nelson of Kennerdell and Mary Beth (Quay) Rearick of Sugarcreek, a step-son John (Cindy) Hutchison of Warsaw, IN. Numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren complete her family.

Friends will be received in the Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 312 W. Park St. from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Randy Kightlinger V.N.A. Chaplain, and Pastor Bobbi Nelson officiating.

Interment will follow in Clintonville Cemetery.
