George C. Flinchbaugh

George C. Flinchbaugh died peacefully at his home in Seneca on Sunday, June 7, 2015.

He was born in Franklin on June 30, 1939, a son of Vivian C. Brown and Neal P. Flinchbaugh.

He attended schools in the area and left school in 1958 to join the Army Reserve. George was a truck driver for a number of years for Rice Trailer Sales and Interstate Amesite. In 1970, he began working for Oilwell Supply (US Steel) until its closing. In 1989, he began working for Trinity Industries in Greenville and retired December 31, 2000.

He is survived by his wife Marion Neighbors-Show; and two daughters, Kristina L. Fleeger and her husband David, and Kimberly L. Flinchbaugh and companion Richard Lowry.

Surviving grandchildren are, Tashana M. Downing, Joseph S. Flinchbaugh, Curtis M. Perry, Lacey J. Lovejoy Hartle, Caleb A. Stahlman, and Elijah E. Flinchbaugh; and eight great-grandchildren, Joey, Meghan, Hope, Teagan, Blake, Spencer, Anna Bella, and Sean.

Also surviving are two sisters, Roberta Guenther and her husband Robert of Freedom, NY and Patty Ace and her husband David of Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his son Joe, his parents, and a brother Monte Flinchbaugh.

At Mr. Flinchbaugh’s request, there will be no viewing.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
