James Ingram (Jim) Mix

95b5f96089db2585[1]James Ingram (Jim) Mix, age 58, passed away of cancer on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at his home in Santa Clara, CA.

He was born in Clarion, PA to Jean Lucille Painter and John Kenneth Mix.

He grew up in Oil City, PA, where he was active in school sports, graduating from Oil City High School in 1974.

He attended Thiel College in Greenville, PA and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Jim moved to California in 1979. He worked in various production positions at Granger Associates, Electroglas and Applied Materials.

He was a fervent medical cannabis supporter and long-time member of the Vapor Room in San Francisco.

He will be remembered for his kindness, warmth and ability to bring joy and laughter everywhere he went.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Susan Mix, son Steven (Megan) Mix, grandchildren Mason Mix and Nyla Chandler, brothers Steven Mix, Tom Mix and Michael (LuAnn) Mix, sisters Linda Zamora and Debbie (Steve) Rolling, nieces Stacie Albert, Nicolle Zamora, Ashley Downing and Danielle Rolling, and nephews Matthew Trevino, Eric Mix and Chris Rolling.

A memorial gathering will be held at his home 3374 Gonzaga Place, Santa Clara, CA from 1 pm to 5 pm on Saturday July 18, 2015 and final resting place at Sierra Memorial Gardens, Reno, NV.
