Robert E. Douglas, age 72 of Clarion passed away at home on 6/10/15. Born on July 4, 1942 in Indiana, PA he was the son of the late Nealy and Madalene Douglas.

Mr. Douglas was a 1960 graduate of Milton Hershey High School. He served in the U.S. Army in aviation in Vietnam from 1962 to 1965.

He was a heavy duty truck mechanic for Beckwith Machinery in Clarion for 36 years. He retired from Hunters Sales and Services in Eau Clair.

He last attended Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion. His favorite pastimes were golf, reading, square dancing, and spending time with his pets.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Pamela Sargent Douglas, his daughter Amy Jo and her husband Kevin Boyd of Pittsburgh, and four step grandchildren. Also two stepsons, Jeffrey Dempsey and his wife Kristine of Oil City and Robert Dempsey and his wife Diana of Chapel Hill, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father, Homer Shaffer of Johnstown.

Robert requested that there will be no visitation or funeral services.
