Deer vs Car Collision in Beaver Township, Driver Escapes Injury

BEAVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Clarion-based State Police, around 2:14 p.m. on June 11, a one-car accident occurred on Interstate 80 West, 115 feet east of PA 338, in Beaver Township, Clarion County.

Police say 76-year-old Lynn Mauk, of Brookville, was traveling west in the right hand westbound lane of I-80 when a deer entered the roadway from the south.

Mauk was unable to avoid collision with the deer, and the front of his 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt impacted with the deer in the right hand lane of I-80.

Mauk was not injured.

He was not using a seat belt.
